Startup cost checklist
Every cost to plan for before you open, in one printable list. Fill in your estimates as you go.
Use this list to estimate what it will take to open your doors. Write a rough number next to each line, even if it's a guess. You can refine it later.

Monthly costs (first six months)

| Utilities and phone | Internet, power, mobile | |
| Insurance | General liability at minimum | |
| Software | Accounting, booking, email | |
| Marketing | Ads, flyers, events | |
| Supplies | Ongoing materials | |
| Your own pay | What you need to cover your bills |
Add it up
- Total the one-time costs.
- Multiply the monthly total by six.
- Add the two together. That's roughly the amount to have available before you open.
Plan for at least six months of costs before you count on steady income.
